Aussie Adventure Stories
We think travelling with our Aussies is a lot of fun. Please email us a photo of you and/or your Aussie on a travel adventure, and we'll post it. Tell us where you went and what activities you enjoyed together!

Z (Noel's pup) and Norm mountain biking in Arizona

She did great on the sandy trail. She's so much fun to travel with and is such a good girl.

Mookie and Tucker go fishing!
In 2006 and 2007 Kathy and Jon took Mookie and Tucker (adopted 2005) on a road trip to Alberta, Canada to fish on a beautiful river in the Canadian Rockies. The Boyz have a great time checking out the river side while we fish. They never stray far from us and often take a nap when we fish a good hole on the river. While hiking on the trail, Tucker always takes the lead and Mookie takes the rear. That's their Aussie way of organizing us and making sure we don't get lost!

Jasper with Mt. Shasta in background
Here's Jasper, Burt's 9 year old black tri, on the slopes near Castle Lake with Mount Shasta in the background. They live in Mount Shasta so Jasper doesn't have to go far to kayak, swim, hike, or play in the snow with her people.

Marcia, Chris, Chipper, and Guy just got back from a road trip to Santa Barbara! We all loved our pet friendly “Casa del Mar” Inn, and the off leash beaches we were directed to! Walking the downtown, some shopkeepers had dog water out, and people always stopped us to admire/chat about our dogs! Being 24/7 with them was a great opportunity to practice obedience activities (Chipper is doing GREAT!!). We did some wine tasting on our way from Santa Barbara to Paso Robles( where Chris’s brother lives), and we could take the dogs out to grassy picnic areas/walk in vineyards to keep them happy after doing the tasting on our own. We ended the afternoon at Avilla Beach (there’s an off leash area past the pier) for more beach fun before checking in at the Travel Lodge in Paso.

I’m attaching some photos from Butterfly beach … In front of the Biltmore Hotel in Montecito, it was morning and quiet w/ just a few dogs. I regret that I didn’t take my camera with me to Henry’s beach( Santa Barbara) in the afternoon where there were lots of dogs/action, including a cute female red merle that my boys loved!!

We love Santa Barbara, and hope to make this an annual trek!!

Banjo and I traveled all the way to the Carolinas for vacation last year. We had a great time where traveled through the woodland areas and to the Atlantic Ocean. Local law indicates that “All Dogs Must Be On Leash”… -though it doesn’t say anything about me holding the leash… Hahaha. Hope you enjoy the pics.
