Shadow NCAR #789
Shadow is a 4 year old blue merle with his tail. His owner moved, left him with a neighbor and 3 months later the neighbor surrendered him to the Sac county shelter stating that he "couldn’t care for him any more"
This is a nice, mellow, personable boy… he's not any trouble at all. He lived with kids, is housebroken, seems to ignore cats, and does fine with all the dogs at the Sanctuary, although he's not particularly playful with them. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Deuce NCAR #786
Deuce is a 29 pound black tri who came into the Sutter County shelter as a stray. He’s meek and quiet, but very, very loving and gives kisses to toddlers and adults, and allows being picked up and held. He’s a submissive, undemanding boy.
We guess him to be 4-5 years old. An obedience class or two would be great to build up his confidence.
Fostered in Grass Valley.

Ace NCAR # 758
Ace is only 9 months old. He's full of energy, loves to play with other
dogs, has had no training and wasn't allowed in the house. He needs to learn
manners to be a fabulous Aussie! He lived with small children, is OK with
cats and did I mention he has a lot of energy?
Fostered in Grass Valley.

Rocky NCAR #775
Rocky is a beautiful 7 month old, neutered black tri who weighs about 35 pounds and is active and smart. He is too much to handle for the 6 year old twins in his home. He has had training and the family has done very well with managing his enthusiasm, but he continues to jump up and run after the small children and scratches them.
Rocky knows many commands, loves his crate, loves to play fetch and is ready for anything. He also chases cats terribly. Looking for an experienced person to love Rocky and continue his training and give him the mental and physical exercise he needs…maybe agility is in his future! Fostered in Grass Valley.

Bennett NCAR #761
Bennett is a3-4 year old big, blue merle from Monterey County. He’s a bit of a bully with other dogs about his space, but nothing serious. What is serious is he will nip a person if he feels like he's going to be kicked or stepped on. Twice a visitor stepped backwards and almost stepped on Bennett, and twice Bennett nipped the person in the calf...hard enough to break the skin.
He was happy to climb the steps into our dogwash and get shampooed, allowed me to dry him with our powerful dryer...no drama! He loves van rides and is Velcro. He’s only been neutered for a week, so the chip on his shoulder with other dogs may subside in awhile, but I'd watch him around intact male dogs. He has good manners, will sit and come when asked. He’s a bit overweight at 66 pounds and ultra gorgeous. Fostered in Grass Valley.
