POPPY NCAR # 1119
Poppy is a deaf and almost blind 11 month old red merle Aussie. Her vision has improved slightly and we know she can see shadows and outlines from a distance of 10 feet or so. She was rescued from a shelter at 4 months of age and vet estimates her date of birth is July 14, 2018. She's about 59 pounds now, and is healthy and easy-going.

Her foster mom taught her through touch and a vibrating collar. Poppy is a quick learner! She comes when she feels the pleasant vibration, and she has learned SIT (taps on her head) and DOWN (taps on her shoulder blades) She lives nicely with other dogs, is trusting and very sweet. She is fabulous with all the dogs here, big and small.

Poppy and bling yorkie

Fostered in Grass Valley. Application required.

Max NCAR #
Max is an overweight, 4 year old miniature American Shepherd who was rescued as a puppy from a breeder who was going to put him down because he's deaf. He's sweet, has the most adorable grin, loves everyone he meets. He lived with many dogs, cats, children and is housebroken and up to date on his shots. The boy loves to nap! We'd like to see him get regular walks and less food so he drops about 10 pounds. Fostered in Grass Valley.
