River
River is a 9 month old Red Tri who is personable, well trained and well loved. He's reactive to the toddlers in his home. We've evaluated him and other than not liking toddlers, he's a great boy! He's about 45 pounds, and lives with a macaw as well as an outdoor cat. He is a bit reactive towards other dogs on leash, but not aggressive. He loves Frisbee, running and loves any toy he can destroy!

Griffin, NCAR #494
>
Kylie and Griffin go home!
Griffin is a 5-6 month old red tri who came into the Yuba County shelter with Kylie, NCAR #495. He’s about 40 pounds and has a natural bob tail similar to Kylie’s. He’s sweet, reserved and playful. He’s more timid than Kylie, but solicits petting and gives kisses. Very cute boy who is ready for a training class! Fostered in Grass Valley . Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

Kylie NCAR #495
Kylie and Griffin came into the Yuba County shelter as strays. We believe they are brother and sister. Kylie is only about 30 pounds and we’re guessing 5-6 months old. She’s inquisitive, Velcro and a tad timid. She’s a gorgeous red merle with a long natural bob. She’s wiggly and sweet and ready for a training class. Fostered in Grass Valley . Riley, NCAR #493

Riley and his new mom
Riley is a 2-4 year old mini black tri. He has one amber and one blue eye. He was running “at large” and landed in the Sacramento SPCA. He’s now neutered and putting on some much needed pounds and should fill out to be about 30 lbs. He’s nice, easy going and friendly towards strangers and seems to be fine with children 10 and over. No cats. Fostered in Grass Valley . Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

LASS NCAR#436 Puppy Mill Aussie

Lass is a 6 year old black tri. She's very timid around strangers, but has warmed up to her foster parents in San Leandro. She is fine with other dogs and will need a patient person to maker her feel safe.

Like most of the puppy mill Aussies, she bonds to one person and that's about it! Lass is a quiet, sweet girl who would benefit greatly from obedience classes and a person who would spend lots of time doing things and going places with her. Fostered in San Leandro. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

***ADOPTED 9/14***
Tye, NCAR #496

Tye is 3 – 5 year old red tri who was surrendered to the shelter in Martinez by his family because they were forced to move to a place where dogs aren’t welcome. Tye lived with children and is a nice boy with a little skin irritation on his nose from being out in the sun too much. Very typical of red Aussies with pink on their nose. He’s a nice boy and we’ll post more about him soon. Fostered in Walnut Creek. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

Josh
This nice boy is a 3 yr. old neutered/chipped red merle named 'Josh' that needs a place ASAP. Heres his story, as told by the Kings County Animal Services Manager in Hanford:

He arrived as a stray so we traced the chip. His former owner said that he gave the dog away and would 'try' to get that contact information to us. Well...we never heard from him. Well get better photos of him soon. He's in a kennel with a neutered male Border Collie who he plays and plays with, and a male (intact) Husky and he's fine.

If youd like to adopt this boy, contact Teri Rockhold, Animal Services Manager at Kings County Animal Services at 559-582-3211 X2531 or email Teri at rescueddot@sbcglobal.net

If youd like to foster him for NorCal Aussie Rescue, please contact Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

***RESCUED BY ANIMAL FRIENDS***
SYDNEY ID 152204
Sid's a nice, 3yo neutered boy. Sidney's good on a leash and seems fine with other dogs. He met a couple on a walk with me and did great. He also was in a yard with some kids (who according to one volunteer, descended on him and hugged him) and did well. His one issue is he can climb a 6' fence, and that's why he was turned in.

It's $30 to adopt. He has all his shots and is/will be microchipped. This is a very nice dog whose fence climbing can be managed.
