Bodhi
Bodhi is a 1 year old red merle Aussie. He's deaf, and has impaired vision.
He's a wonderful boy who is crate trained and friendly. He's a big boy at 65
lbs!
He's playful with dogs and enjoys their company. He also lives with 2 cats.
He likes brightly colored toys and needs someone to help him get through his
puppy stage and grow up into a wonderful Aussie. Bodhi is in San Leandro.

Boots NCAR #607
Boots went home with Jeanne to Carmichael. Jeanne met Boots first, then met a dozen or so other NCAR dogs, but she couldnt get him out of her head. Jeanne wanted a constant companion at her side and knew Boots was her boy - and he seems pretty happy about it.
Boots and his brother Kirby (above) turned 4 years old in May, 2009. He's a cute black tri with his tail and is about 8 pounds overweight. He lived his whole life with Kirby (adopted) and is the more timid of the two.
He
lived outside or in the garage and rarely saw any people other than his owners. Boots barked at me for 2 days until I finally could get him to touch my hand and then take a treat. He's a lot of work, but now he gives me his toothy grin that's so adorable!
He did manage to wiggle out of his collar and got away from me in our driveway and I thought for sure he'd never come back.......but alas! He didn't go further than 10 feet from me! I was thrilled! He's not interested in cats at all.
Owners lost their home to foreclosure. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Stanley NCAR #591
Bonnie loves Stanleys goofy, yet loving demeanorshe even tolerates his preoccupation with her two donkeys, who seem to like Stan! Hes having a great time in Penryn and has a new Border Collie brother who is showing him the ropes.
Stanley is a 3-4 year old hunk of a love bug. My vet doesn't think he's mixed with anything and that he's just a huge Aussie with his tail. He's 85 pounds and we're working on getting him down towards 75! We pulled him at the 11th hour about 2 years ago from the Stanislaus County shelter and luckily the Nevada County shelter had room for him and he got adopted quickly.
Then August '09, he landed in the El Dorado County shelter. His former owners said, they had no time for him and surrendered him to the shelter. They obviously had no time to brush his beautiful auburn coat because they completely shaved it off. They also put more than 10 pounds on him=too much food, too little exercise.
One of my volunteers recognized him and called me, so I was happy to take him back. I called his previous owners to find out how he had lived in their home and found out was wonderful with their three children 3, 5 and 8 years of age.
Hes easy as pie, house broken, good off leash, not destructive..what can I say? Fostered in Grass Valley.

Loki

Betty Boo
Betty Boo is a gorgeous dog. She has super soft fur and loves to snuggle. She has a wonderful smile and is just a big sweet-heart. Betty Boo is approximately 1 year old and about 35 pounds.

I am around 5 years old & I am a good dog. I am house trained & have good manners. I know how to sit and shake. I like to play fetch and I come when I am called. I like other dogs and I didn't chase the cats I met. I love to go for car rides and walks. I need to lose a little weight. As I am a mix of 2 heeling breeds no children under 5 please.
