Gracie
Gracie went home to Napa with Kent, Julia and Cooper. Cooper and Gracie hit it off right away, and Kent and Julia are patient, loving people who will undoubtedly help Gracie over come her fears. Ill miss her, but am thrilled for her at the same time.
Gracie is an adorable 3 year old terrier mix who looks like she should star in a Disney movie. She was out
of time at the crowded Tracy shelter, so we took her. She follows me everywhere, likes other small dogs and
is quite energetic! She weighs 11 pounds and we give her 2 paws up for personality!
She is not friendly towards strangers and not a "jump in your lap" dog....although she's sweet with me, she needs lots of time to warm up to strangers. No children for this girl! Fostered in Grass
Valley.

Ben: Independent, Active Senior Looking for the Same!
Ben is a 13 year old terrier mix who found himself in a rural county shelter when his owner became ill. The EMT brought him in and no family or friends have stepped forward to help the old boy.
Ben enjoys the simple things in life . . a walk, stopping to smell the roses, good food and special treats, and warm blanket to snuggle on. Ben is a sweet old boy. He is a little hard of hearing and his vision isn't what it used to be but he is still full of enthusiasm, happy and content.

Solano Blue Merle Boy #A149278
This boy is frightened in the shelter environment, cautiously approaches a female kennel staff member but does not approach a stranger (me). He does not display any aggressive behavior and behaves as if he would be a lap dog if allowed to do so. He is about 20% smaller than the average size for his breed and was perhaps the runt of the litter. He has soft, needy eyes and his entire body shakes in the back of the cage. Otherwise he appears healthy, has apparently been cared for since his coat is not matted and looks as if he'd been bathed and brushed recently. v
He will not do well in the kennel environment and will not be adoptable from the shelter for that reason. He needs to go out to a rescue.

Sandy NCAR #634
Sandy lives in Petaluma with a wonderful, loving family. She is surrounded by love and is learning not to jump fences to chase cats! She is a challenge and totally loved!
Sandy is a 4 year old spayed blue merle Aussie who has spent her entire life
chained up or confined to a yard. She learned to jump the fence and because she ran all over the neighborhood, was chained by her owner. She's very agile and strong and would love to be a "Go everywhere with her person" Aussie!
She is wonderfully obedient and loyal and is fine with all people and children.
She arrived at our Sanctuary on 5-22 and likes all visitors and is not at all threatening. She loves men and women and children. She has great recall, is sweet and hangs in the house for hours with no problems. She likes going on our off leash hikes, is playful with other nice dogs, but doesn't need to live with another dog. NO CATS. Fostered in Paradise.
