Booker is a 60 pound, 5 year old black tri whose owner passed away. Booker lived with his sister, Lucy outside 24/7 and didn't go anywhere or see anything. Remarkably, he's a nice boy whose only challenge is fence barking.

Once he's roaming around the Sanctuary, he's OK with our Aussies, but a little anxious. He is doing better daily though. He's a nice, sweet boy who would do well in an obedience class to gain more confidence. He knows basic commands and enjoys coming into the house. Fostered in Grass Valley.

***Staying with her Family!***

Ozzie is about 9 years old and was a backyard dog with nothing to do until he was surrendered to a shelter and adopted by a kind woman with another Aussie. She takes him lots of places: beaches, walks on sidewalks, to malls and he loves car trips! He walks down a country road every day and will pace until he gets to join her on their walk. Owner states that Ozzie LOVES to walk, LOVES to ride in car, LOVES to be loved on, stroked, brushed and getting belly rubs.

Ozzie 65 pounds, in good health although he's getting the beginning of cataracts. He's not a fan of small children running around and nipped the owner's grandchild when she ran by him. Owner is moving in with her daughter and grandchild and was told Ozzie is not welcome. This is a nice boy who deserves a loving home in his golden years. Ozzie is in Arroyo Grande in So Cal at the moment.

is Keeping***

Panda is just 12 months old, 50 pounds, raised with teenagers, and a Labrador. Panda got plenty of car travel, went swimming in lakes and received lots of love. He's energetic, mischievous, crate trained and extremely biddable. He is doing great in beginning Agility here at the Sanctuary, has great focus and loves training!

His owner asked us to take him because he was traumatized about 3 weeks ago. He was in the car at a stop sign, when a man came up to the car window and barked through the glass at him. Poor Panda was scared out of his mind and is still recovering. We took him in to rehabilitate him and find him a new home where he'll continue to be desensitized to new people who get close.

He loves swimming in our pond and graduated with flying colors from Beginning Agility on 10/31 and is ready for more! Fostered in Grass Valley. Application required.

Fostered in Grass Valley.

***ADOPTED 12/12***

Louie nipped at a running child and ended up in the Turlock shelter. The shelter staff said he was there all the time because he'd get out of his house and get picked up by Animal Control. I believe it was all in fun and he didn't mean to hurt anyone. He lived with young children, and seems to adore everyone he meets. He's very comfortable in the house or outside on our deck.

He's 20 months old, neutered, about 64 pounds, and very lanky and very loving. We will require obedience classes in his new home, and opportunities for daily running exercise. He gets along well with all the Sanctuary dogs, little or big. We don't know if he can live with cats. Fostered in Grass Valley.
