Chubs NCAR Puppy #56
Mr. Chubs is 6 months old and his mom is Shiloh, a mini Aussie (NCAR #831) and his Dad is a lab. He looks like a Border Collie, but he’s not! He’s sweet, sweet, sweet and will probably grow to be a 60-65 pound adult.
He lived with a cat and goats, but killed the neighbor’s chicken, so he was surrendered to the Placer County Shelter with his Mommy, Shiloh.
Fostered in Grass Valley.

Outback
Outback is a 3-year-old, 65-pound Aussie mix who was adopted as a puppy from the Calaveras County Shelter.
He's been well taken care of and has had obedience training and knows Sit, down, shake, wait.
He's leash aggressive towards most dogs—there have been a few he ignores, but not many.
He's fine in the house and car alone.
Outback is mouthy—loves to have your hand in his mouth, but has NEVER bitten. Outback's favorite thing to do is RUN! He loves playing fetch…for hours at a time. He really enjoys wrestling and physical play.
He's living with other dogs just fine, and lives with indoor cats nicely too. He has a loving personality, and would do best in a rural environment where he doesn't have to go on leash walks.
His owners live in a small home and leave him for several hours per day. He does not dig or escape…but they feel he's not getting enough exercise or attention.
He is loving and playful and owners say that his trainer will allow Outback's new owners to bring him for refresher training for life! (Trainers are: Alan and Rene Miller)
Outback is in Sacramento. Application required.

Rosie NCAR #843
Rosie is a 1-year-old, red merle with her tail. Her tail was purposely left long at her purchaser's request. She grew up in a large family with a 5-year-old, autistic boy. Unfortunately, she was not given any training, nor was she allowed to be in the house, and she proved intolerant of the boy's hugging and sometimes sudden movements towards her. She's learning to come into my house, is playful with the other Aussies, and would benefit from obedience training. She has good herding instincts, too.
Fostered in Grass Valley.

Bourbon NCAR #838
Bourbon is a handsome, small red bi who was picked up by Yuba County Animal Services. He sat for almost 2 weeks, but no one came for him. We had him neutered, brought up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and groomed and he's ready for his new home. He's good with all the dogs at the Sanctuary and is friendly towards people, but leans towards the submissive side. We think he may have been handled roughly.
He is underweight at 39 pounds, and our vet guesses he's about 4 years old. He seems to like the car as well as lounging in the house or under the deck. He can climb chain link, and squeeze through openings to get to me. I'm sure that's how he landed in the shelter. He's a nice boy who would do best with someone who will spend lots of time with him and make sure he is safe if left alone. An obedience class or two would be good to build his confidence.. Fostered in Grass Valley.
