Shane NCAR #801
Shane is a 12-16 month old blue merle who was found running in Sacramento. His finder did outreach trying to find his owner and then brought him to the shelter where his owner might look for him, but it appears he was abandoned.
He's a bouncy, slightly needy boy who wants nothing more than to be near me. He seems to like everyone he meets, knows absolutely no commands and is a bit submissive. He wants to play keep away from me and doesn't stand still long enough for me to put on a leash...like I said he knows absolutely no commands! He is a bit hard headed and would benefit from a few obedience courses. I think he also do best in an adult home so he gets consistency. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Zeppelin
Zeppelin is a 12 pound, 5 year old, neutered Mini Aussie Jack Russell mix.
The people bought him from a breeder in OR and all was going great until they got two, female rescue dogs who fight around poor Zeppelin. Owner has two kids and a husband in the military and cant manage the 3 dogs and her busy life.
Hes had great vet care, knows 4 hand commands: Come, go out, go to kennel, and up.
He barks when meeting new dogs, but isnt aggressive. Hes timid with new people coming to the house. Hes great with the children in his home as well as the childrens friends.
He sleeps in his kennel at night and when no one is home.Good in the car and fine in the yard alone.Hes good on a leash. He doesnt seem to mind cats.
He would probably thrive in an experienced home with a well behaved able bodied dog, or as an only dog where he can get more training and lots of attention. He likes to play with people. Zeppelin is in Los Banos.

Bailey
Bailey is a loyal, beautiful Aussie mix who turns 10 on Thanksgiving. She weighs about 60 pounds, and we adopted her from the Fresno SPCA when she was only a few months old. She was raised with my son, 2 cats and 2 other dogs and a very busy household. During the last several years, shes made it clear she does not want to live with other dogs, and she has begun stalking the cats. Weve moved away from the home shes known for 9 years, adopted two new dogs and cats, and her life style has been disrupted. She clearly isnt adapting well. She picks fights with our Aussie, shes stalking the cats, and she nipped at a delivery man walking past us. No contact, but still strange behavior for her. We now keep her in our bedroom now when visitors come by, and never leave her alone with the other dogs. Shes basically made it clear she wants to be an only dog. It breaks our hearts to rehome her, but know its best for her and our other animals.
She is very good off leash. Comes when called, knows sit and stay. Is housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. She is easy to be around and is very happy to just hang out with you inside or outside. She enjoys moderate to easy walking. She will just hunker down on long car trips and lay quietly. She has a beautiful soft thick hair coat and beautiful blue eyes. Her perfect home would be where shes a companion for a person in a relatively quiet home environment, and have no small animals or children around.
Bailey is in Selma, Oregon.
