Jinx is a 35-40 lb Aussie mix who was adopted from a shelter about 3 years ago. Hes now 5 years old and is the apple of his owners eye. Sadly, his owner cannot take him with her when she moves to Bogota, Colombia in July.

He knows sit, stay, down, roll over, high five, come (his recall is not 100% but pretty good), and heel. He chases cats, squirrels, rodents and should not live with cats. Hes a bit reactive on leash walks, and owner has used Gentle Leader, but he hates it. He currently lives in an urban setting, and could likely do better in a suburban or less crowded setting. Jinx loves people and children and has good house manners. Jinx is in Oakland.

Alaska NCAR #
Alaska lives in Truckee with Steve and goes just about everywhere with him. She's a lucky girl! Alaska is a 17 month old black tri with a long natural bob who came into the Napa Shelter as a stray picked up downtown. Her microchip was a deadend - the number was disconnected.
She barks at strangers through a fence, but she has not nipped. She was good for the groomer, and she needs a gentle yet experienced person to manage her. She's about 40 pounds. She loves playing with the other Aussies here and seems most at east with her Aussie friends, although she is good in the house. Ali is fostered in Grass Valley.

***ADOPTED 7/31***

Peyton and his brother, Manni were abandoned by their breeder. Peyton is 4-1/2 years old, and about 35 pounds. He's a timid boy who knows no commands, but has learned his new name!

He slipped out of his collar coming out of the vet's office and when the volunteer who was transporting him to the Sanctuary reached for him, he bit her arm. To his defense, he was freaked out, didn't know the volunteer and had no idea where he was.

At the Sanctuary, he's calm, and will come up to people and ask for petting. Peyton is not a city dog, and should not live with children. He'll do fine with people who are used to timid, fearful dogs Fostered in Grass Valley.

Promise NCAR #1023
This neglected senior girl came into the shelter with a male Aussie who was adopted right away. No one showed interest in Promise, so we rescued her. She has had many litters of puppies, and her skin was chewed raw from so many years of flea bites.

We're guessing Promise is 9 years old, but we aren't sure. We gave her a full dental and she's ready for her new home. She's delightful, spry, housebroken and about 43 pounds. Fostered in Sacramento.

Moose NCAR#
Moose is a 10 year old small blue merle. He's a mellow, loving boy whose owner became too ill to care for him.

He has been an indoor /outdoor dog all his life, is crate trained, 38 pounds, medium energy and can jump into the back seat of my SUV with ease. Fostered in Grass Valley.
