Bella Bella NCAR #1074
Bella is a 5 year old, 48 lb blue merle whose young family lost their home and could not find a place to rent that allows dogs.

Bella was raised as an only dog, lived with a cat and a 1 year old infant. She didn't get out much, and isn't familiar with suburban living. She's not comfortable with leash walks around other dogs and people passing by.

She also barrier barks - both fence and window. She hasn't bitten anyone, but she feels it's her job to protect her people and space. She's learning how to play with other dogs here, but her favorite thing to do is swim and fetch a tennis ball. She's very loving, likes being near me and is a great house dog. She rides well in the car, too. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Penny Penny NCAR #
Penny is an 11 month old, 14 pound Miniature American Shepherd. Her owner bought her as a puppy and learned quickly that Penny is quite timid and although she tried to socialize her, she feels she doesnt have the time to take her through training and build her confidence.

Penny is not for the first time dog owner and needs a patient, experienced person to guide her through adolescence including many obedience classes for shy dogs, and slow socialization with strangers. Fostered in Carmichael.

Marley Marley NCAR #1060
Marley is a big, lovey black tri boy who vets estimate to be 4-5 years old. He belonged to a man who worked in a warehouse and was everyones mascot until the man was laid off and disappeared, leaving Marley at the warehouse. The mans cell phone was disconnected. Were putting his history together just with this story and his behavior.

Marley is very comfortable in the house, likes to fetch, likes all people and is a big boy at over 60 pounds. He briefly stayed at someones home where he seemed quite fixated on her 2 cats and 2 birds. Im thinking he has not lived with either!
Marley loves toys, and likes to walk around with them in his mouth - but he doesn't want other dogs to take them....no tug of war for Marley. I love this boy - he'll be an awesome companion for someone. Fostered in Grass Valley.
