Squeak NCAR #1255
Squeak is 13 years old and is Xochis father (see above) Squeak has mild hearing loss, but gets around great at the Sanctuary. I dont recommend a home for him that has more than 3-4 stairs. He's remarkably healthy and will play fetch.
He loves his daughter Xochi and Id love to see him adopted with her, but it's not necessary. Due to his age, our vet recommended he stay intact. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Joy NCAR #1257
I try to rescue an over looked shelter dog each Christmas. (I do this out of pocket, not out of NorCal Aussie Rescues account)
Joy was found in the Home Depot parking lot in Tracy. She's been traumatized and quite head shy...not a doggie for kids. She had an umbilical hernia which we had removed in January.
She follows me everywhere and still needs to get fully housebroken. This girl was grossly overweight and is now down to 24 pounds (from 30).
Joy's DNA came back: 43% Chihuahua, 38% Dachshund, 13% Supermutt and 5% Pug.
Joy surprised me by going after a dryer ball that rolled down the hall! She likes to play!
We'd love to find Joy a quiet, adult only home with a patient person to love. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Xochi NCAR #1254
Xochi is 11 years old and is the offspring of Squeak (posted below). Shes quite agile, likes to play fetch and gets along famously with Squeak as well as all the other dogs at the Sanctuary. She is housebroken and easy on a leash. Her coat is coming in after being shaved due to numerous embedded foxtails which we had removed along with a benign tumor. This girl is sweet and love her Dad.Id love to see her adopted with Squeak.
