Maxie NCAR #855
Max was surrendered to the Klamath Falls shelter by his owner. He wasn't neutered, lived mostly in the yard and garage and was not socialized with people. Once he gets over the barking, he becomes very loving with peoplebut it takes awhile and he must be introduced slowly. He does not bite, but his stance can be scary.

He is threatened by any new person he meets, yet can settle down after about 15 minutes. He's only a year old, we had him neutered and he's up to date on shots and heartworm negative. He gets along famously with the other dogs here. He needs A LOT of socialization out in the world and a patient person to take him through obedience classes to build his confidence. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Kobe NCAR PUP#58
Kobe isan t8 months old. He's a mini Aussie from a back yard breeder who didn't dock tails. We rescued his parents (blue merle and black tri) who went to Animal Friends Rescue Project in Santa Cruz.

Kobe is sweet, loving, average energy level, nice to everyone he meets, loves kids and would benefit from obedience classes. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Kody NCAR #871
Kody will be 7 years old on March 26. He's a 50 pound black tri whose owner is moving out of her parents home and going away to college. Kody knows: sit, stay, down, come, rollover, weave, crate in, spin, leave it & speak. He is crate trained, pulls a bit on a leas (especially when he sees another dog) and is happy to meet people.

He enjoys running alongside a bicycle or while a person is jogging / running and likes learning new tricks. His favorite toys are his football, Frisbee and Kong. He's an intelligent boy, quick learner and very athletic. Kody also enjoys playing in water as well as being brushed. We think he'd do best as an only dog and without cats. Fostered in Grass Valley.

SIERRA NCAR Puppy
Sierra was just 10 weeks old when her people took her to the shelter because "she was too active." Their loss! She's PERFECT! Friendly, playful, smart, confident, and adorable! She's now 11 weeks old. We don't know what breeder she's from, but we do have her shot records, so she got good care. She likes fetch, and playing with all the kids here, especially Frisco. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Annie NCAR #869
Annie was born in Oklahoma about 4 years ago. At just 8 weeks old, she was found during a severe storm. Her rescuer saw a little ball of fur lying on a high spot with water rushing on both sides. When the woman went to rescue her, she discovered that the little red pup was covered with fire ants and was badly bitten. She was taken to a vet where she received round the clock care for several days.and miraculously, she survived.

Annie moved to California and proved herself to be very kind, loving and playful. She's trusting and happy and full of energy. She likes fetch, is housebroken, sleeps on a doggie bed, loves water and plays in the sprinkler. She loves people and children.

She is afraid of storms, lightning and thunder and does best in the house during storms. Firecrackers also frighten her. Her owner has had a lot of health issues and asked us to find a wonderful, loving home for Annie. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Lucy NCAR #865
Lucy is a 4-year-old, mini red merle girl who weighs about 20 pounds. She's sweet, on the timid side and raised with a family who surrendered her to the Humboldt County Shelter for chasing livestock. She seems perfectly content to hang with me wherever I am, will sleep in her crate, and seems fine with other dogs. She was raised with children, and seems to be a loving companion. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Callie NCAR #864
Callie is a 10-year-old, healthy, 37-pound Australian Cattle Dog whose family brought her to their vet to be put down because they were moving. They hadn't even gotten out of the parking lot when the vet called us to please take her right away. She's a fabulous companion, bonds quickly and strongly, has little use for other dogs, ignores cats, LOVES the car and has trained me to feed her canned food! Fostered in Grass Valley.
