Jessie NCAR #759
Jessie is a beautiful, forgotten red merle girl who came into the Shasta County shelter. She's 10-12 years old, easy-going, sleeps a lot, and likes petting. Understandably, her teeth aren't that great, but she eats fine and has a healthy appetite.

Every once in awhile, she give me her HAPPY DANCE - SO ADORABLE! Fostered in Hayward..

MARCO
Marco is a gorgeous, 11 year old red merle whose owner died. Friends are caring for him, but he's too active for them! He's a fetch-a-holic, friendly, and happy! He is a good boy. Marco is in Sacramento. Application required.

Katie NCAR #788

Jake & Ken lost their sweet Aussie boys, Buddy and Juno (adopted 2004). They came to meet several Aussies at the Sanctuary and a good time was had by all! Katie was the lucky girl who went home to Studio City. All animals should have such a life!

Katie is a 3 year old black tri who is loving and smart and a stray picked up by the El Dorado County shelter in Placerville. She was adopted, then returned 2 months later for not getting along with the other dog in the home.

She's playing with the boys here, and does fine with some females, but would do best as an only dog. She doesn't share toys! She's a big girl, crate trained, house broken, knows commands and is gorgeous!

She has proven to be possessive about her toys both with other dogs and humans, and sometimes air snaps if you reachsuddenly for a toy she's invested in. An experienced handler who will desensitize her to this issue would be best. Although she loves children, and adult home would be best for Katie due to her possessiveness over toys. She can get fixated on cats, so we think a home without cats is best. She is smart, beautiful and would do best with an experienced owner where' shell get training, and lots of mental and physical stimulation. Fostered in Grass Valley.
