The list of adopted aussies is growing fast! Wonderful for the dogs but hard to show all on one page. We have split up the past adoptions by month. Use the links to see all our wonderful adoptions and adoptions we have assisted.

	Danny, NCAR #306 Danny Danny was out of time at the Madera Shelter so a wonderful volunteer took him home. Danny is a gorgeous boy, approximately 7-8 years old and has a 5" natural bob tail. He's friendly to people and other dogs. He walks on a leash, sits, and downs on command. He was so terribly matted and full of foxtails that we had to give him a puppy cut...shaved him! This boy had been neglected for years. Danny goes on a morning and evening walk every day. He has gotten into great shape, and even fetches! He likes the dog park and likes getting pets from the neighborhood children...they love him! We had X Rays taken of his legs and hips and he's in excellent condition, eventhough he's aging! 	Tyra Tyra is a 12 lbs terrier mix who loves being held. She's maybe 2 years old, fine around other dogs and people, but a bit shell shocked. She actually gave me a kiss. We're slowly making progress, but I think all the Aussies are overwhelming her. She is housebroken and just as cute as can be. Fostered in Grass Valley. 	Ebbie Ebony Ebony is a 2-3 year old Cairn terrier mix who had a choke chain embedded in her neck. The shelter vet removed it and she's doing fine, but it's still quite tender. Amazingly, this is a really, really friendly girl! She follows me everywhere, hangs tough with the big dogs (as all terriers seem to!) and wags her little tail. She's about 15 lbs and adorable! 	Bentley NCAR #381 Bentley Bentley is a small, darling blue merle who lived with Brody (above) and is also quite small. He's alert, comes when called and enjoys staying near me. He seems 6 or 7, is a little lighter weight than Brody. He has one light blue eye and one brown. Bentley and Brody lived in a home where their owners were gone 9-11 hours a day, and they became bored and broke out of their back yard once too many times. Bentley, just like Brody, is very social and likes everyone. He also allows hugging from strangers! We will separate Bentley and Brody so they can bond better with their next family! 	Paddy Paddy Paddy is the happiest 80 pound Aussie you'll ever meet! He's a gorgeous blue merle who loves toddlers, kids of all ages, all people, dogs and cats. He's a good watch dog and has a big bark when someone comes to the door, but it's all wiggles and love after the person enters. His owner became very ill and asked that we find a great home for Paddy. He has a rash on his nose that is being treated with prednisone and we hope to wean him off of it entirely....time will tell. 	Bentley Bentley is a 3 year old, sweet black tri. He's small and friendly and was fine meeting the dogs at the Sanctuary. His owner recently moved in with her parents who have a horse and a cat, and Bentley is too aggressive with both, so we're helping him find a great new home. 	Squirt Squirt is a female, 7 year old black tri. Her mother is Samantha. She weighs 40 pounds, and is a very submissive dog that wants to please. She is from the puppy mill in El dorado county, but a personal pet and well-socialized. Her registered name is Middle Forks Peace Offerings because every time her owner comes out of the house she brings her whatever she can find and puts in her mouth. It may be a 4 foot log, a leaf, a toy or whatever. She is a VERY nice dog and would make a great companion for someone. 	Salty Salty is a 3 year old blue merle. He's gorgeous, only 45 lbs, and very devoted to his owner. Problem is that Salty was previously abused by a man and has an obvious and serious fear of all men. His owner adopted him as a single woman and now that there's a man in her life, finds that Salty is too distraught to keep. Salty is wonderful on and off a leash, is crate trained, and knows sit, stay, heal, get it, lie down, shake paws, sit up, up, off, leave it. He loves to run with other dogs and is fine with strangers, just barks at a man in the house. He's housebroken, but might chew bags and paper if available! He loves car rides and will wait patiently if left alone. Salty loves to run off-leash at in the country, mountains, or dog parks in fair weather, rain or snow. Loves to run/walk on-leash in the neighborhood. Loves outdoor activities. Also, loves to ride in the car. He is used to riding in a harness. Loves to cuddle and will insist you rub his belly. He is a great travel companion and has stayed in dog-friendly hotels and rides elevators without incident. 	Sunny, NCAR #356 Sunny Look at this sweet boy!! Sunny was found in Placerville... spent a week at the shelter yet no one came for him. We think he's 12-13 years old, he's slow, but full of love and spunk! He loves his toys and walks around with them forever and even falls asleep with his favorite in his mouth. He's classic Aussie in that he'll push on your arm for pets. Each morning he puts his front paws on my bed to give me a kiss! He is arthritic, so we're trying Ascriptin as well as Glucosomine and Condroiten daily. I just love this boy and want him to have a wonderful life filled with everything he could possibly want. 	Tank #384 Tank Tank is a 9 month old black tri whose owner was just diagnosed with cancer. He's trying to acclimate to the big change in his life, so we're giving him some time. He's leary of men he doesn't know, has lived with cats and is submissive with other dogs. He lived in an apartment and didn't see anything of the world...so pretty much everything frightens him. 	Bishop ID: 35251 Bishop is so very handsome and lovable. He is ever so gentle and walks excellently on a leash. Bishop would make a wonderful walking companion. He enjoys the company of other dogs, and especially enjoys being around people. He is nice to everyone he meets and would love to meet you... 	Red Rio ID: 04-04-07 2 I'm a 1 1/2 year old male weighing 33 lbs. I came into the shelter with Blue Belle as a stray. I like playing with Blue Belle and love my toys. I'm a silly boy, happy, bouncy, friendly, loving, fun loving, outgoing, and people oriented. I crave attention and need a home that will provide me with plenty of exercise!
