Makena
Makena is a 3 year old, 30 pound spayed female that was sold as a Miniature Australian shepherd purchased over the internet. She appears to be mixed with something that is awfully cute, but we aren't sure. She currently lives with 3 female dogs, 1 male dog, and a cat. She loves the cat in her home, and is ok with all the dogs except the tiny female Chorkie. Because she has attacked her a few times, she is looking for a new home where she can be the only dog.
Her owner surrendered Makena to the shelter in Dublin on 4/25/15. This is a cuddle bug who needs out of the shelter!

Rufus NCAR PUP
OMG this is a wonderful pup! Rufus is 8 months old, born on July 29, 2014. He's a handful, just like any puppy! His personality is fabulous and he's very smart. He is bi-laterally deaf, he stalks the other dogs prior to leaping into play. He's exceptionally intelligent and is picking up signs really fast! He knows sit, lie down and roll over- all by hand signals. Rufus LOVED our pond and played endlessly with our Aussies at the Sanctuary!
He is crate trained, though he definitely needs his Kong right now to help him soothe before he zonks out. He warns us before he needs to go out to potty, and have introduced a "go potty" sign to him.
He does do well on his own when at the house as long as there's another pup around for him to play with. He also is going to work with his foster Mom and doing nicely in an office setting This is a GREAT boy! Fostered in Bay Area.
