Quincy turned 4 in June, 2018. She's a fun Aussie girl who is always by your side. She has lived with Darcy (see below) her whole life. She's a biddable, energetic, loving girl.

She likes to have her people all to herself, and will sometimes grrrrr at other dogs who want to get attention from "her" person....but it's not over-the-top. On leash she is a bit reactive towards other approaching dogs, but OK in dog parks and off leash. No idea how she'd be with cats. Quincy's father was an international champion - her build is muscular, she's in great shape at 50 lbs.

She loves to pounce on frogs and even brought a gofer home! She loves car rides! All records available and vaccines are up to date. Quincy is a candidate for obedience and agility training. We'd like to find her a home with no other dogs or cats. Fostered in Grass Valley. Application required.

Jasper NCAR #1072
Jasper is a 4-5 year old red Border Collie mix. He's stunning, agile and able to climb out of our 6 foot high chain link kennels. Jasper was picked up as a stray by the Apple Valley Animal Shelter and no one came for him. He was neutered 9/21/17.

This boy is quite independent, agile and capable! He is learning to play with other dogs and is OK being alone. He rarely engages play, but can hang with other dogs. He's not a fan of people he doesn't know reaching for his collar or his face....He air snaps or puts his teeth on a person's hand without much pressure.

He likes to carry around toys and can get possessive of them around other dogs, but not over the top. He wants to be near me or at least be able to see me - otherwise he'll come find me. He's really an easy boy to have around as long as one doesn't put a lot of pressure on him. He's also very food motivated. Jasper would make a nice ranch dog and sleeps fine outside or in a crate. Fostered in Grass Valley.

River is 6 years old and very laid back and loving. He's a sensitive little soul, housebroken, quiet and would do well losing7- 8 pounds and getting regular walks.

His owner has serious health issues and asked us to help him find a great home.

***Adopted 11/7***

Maggie is a beautiful 5 year old blue merle who weighs 44 pounds. Maggie was rescued from a family member about 4 months ago, and lives with 3 other dogs now. New owner thinks she would be happier living in a larger home with a yard and plenty of attention and exercise. She has no bad habits, is sweet, and barks due to lack of attention. She walks well on a leash and is UTD on all shots and heartworm negative.

Maggie has never been around cats. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Paisley, age 7 and River, age 6 (see below), have lived together in several homes. They are both Miniature American Shepherds. We are rehoming them separately.

Paisley is a blue-eyed, pushy Blue Merle girl who wants her person all to herself. She is light on her feet, agile, loving and is happiest when with her person! She'd do best being an only dog.

Her owner has serious health issues and asked us to help her find a great home.
