Konig NCAR #822
Bindi and Konig went home with Meri where they will run around on 2 fenced acres, get to go on car rides and be with Meri and her Aussie, Koda full time. Lucky dogs, huh?

Konig is a stunning, 9-year-old Aussie/Cattle Dog/Border Collie. He's had excellent care, his teeth cleaned annually, took 2-mile walks daily, and led a very full life as a full time companion to a gentle, social woman.
Unfortunately, she passed away and no one in the family could give Konig the life he was used to and we were asked to rehome him. He's excellent on a leash and very loyal. He's timid around dogs and new situations. Konig is a very sweet and handsome boy who would do best with someone who wants a constant companion. Fostered in Grass Valley

Bindi
Bindi and Konig went home with Meri where they will run around on 2 fenced acres, get to go on car rides and be with Meri and her Aussie, Koda full time. Lucky dogs, huh?

This is Bindi, a sweet Lab/Rottie/Catahoula mix girl who is looking for a new home. Bindi LOVES other dogs, goes to doggy day care and is such a sweet girl. Her family needed to rehome her due to Bindi's intolerance of small children and babies. She isn't comfortable around small kids and has been known to grrrrrrr. So we took Bindi in. She's not a fan of cats, either.

Bindi is about 6, spayed, up to date on vaccines. She is mature and way past the chewing stage, she is potty trained and such an easy dog to have around. She would do great with an active or semi-active family. She would love a doggy play mate in her new home. She is such an easy going girl, I know she will bond quickly to her new owner.I've taken her hiking and she's great off leash and likes the snow! Fostered in Grass Valley.

Buddy NCAR #XXX
Buddy is a 7-year-old red tri Border Collie whose owner is ill and can no longer care for him. He's ultra sweet, likes to play fetch, and is currently on a weight reduction plan to get him back to 45 pounds.

We had 8 teeth pulled as he was in pain from infection. Our vet believes it's dental disease that can be managed through medicated mouth rinses and good dental hygiene. His bill was $600, any help towards this expense is greatly appreciated.

He has lived with a cat, is doing fine with all the dogs at the Sanctuary, rides well in a car, and walks well on a leash. I do believe he'd be happiest as a single dog. Fostered in Grass Valley. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

Dusty NCAR #827
Dusty came into the Santa Cruz shelter as a stray. He is a calm boy who seemed a bit head shy, but very nice. Our vet estimates him to be 8 - 10 years old. We had him neutered and his teeth cleaned and WHOA! He had two teeth that had foxtails wedged between them and under his gums...the boy must have been in pain!
We had his teeth cleaned and the nasty ones pulled and he's doing great. He's loyal, likes being petted and brushed. He's about 44 pounds. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Bailey NCAR PUP #49
Bailey is a 5-year-old, 28 pound Mini Aussie. She lived nicely with a 2-year-old and likes everyone she meets. The 2-year-old daughter has serious allergies to dog dander, so we were asked to rehome Bailey.

She's been an inside and outside dog, and has a little attitude about approaching dogs when on leash - but it's not awful. She has good manners, is loving and just delightful. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

***Adopted 10/11***
Levi NCAR #815
Levi was found as a stray near Fresno. His finders tried everything to locate his owner to no avail. We were asked to rescue him, so our volunteers extraordinaire Bob and Jean drove to Fresno to pick him up.

Levi gave kisses to Jean all the way home! Hes a loving, 3 year old blue merle. We had him neutered, brought utd on shots, plus got some of the tartar removed from his molars and hes doing just fine.

He likes rides in the van, hopped right up on the grooming table for brushing, is affectionate and just a little worried about new situations, but warms right up. Hes about 45 pounds and has a gorgeous long coat, and marbled eyes. He's a good watch dog and barks if visitors come to the gate and barks at noise on the other side of our fencing. No cats. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Lady NCAR #824
Lady was surrendered to the Sac SPCA by her people for having "mange." Well, she doesn't have mange. She has flea-bite dermatitis which comes from years of neglect.

Lady is 9 years old, was not spayed, and we believe produced litters of pups. She's playful, sweet, housebroken, and growing her coat back! Fostered in Grass Valley.
