Sugar NCAR #891

Sugar's owner died and she had no place to go, so we had them flown to California. Sugar is a very sweet, very spry 11-year-old, 45-pound red merle girl.  She’s lived with her brother all her life, is good around children and likes everyone she meets. Her health is good, she likes her plush toys, is housebroken and as sweet as her name implies. She plays fetc and we believe she's OK with cats. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Blink NCAR #872
We rescued Blink with his brother, Bug from the Yuba County Shelter. He is a blue merle mini Aussie boy, about 14 months old and 18 pounds. He and his brother were surrendered to the shelter by their breeder because they bit the leg of a 4H pig.

Blink is more shy than his brother, yet all wiggles and smiles. He did growl at a man who walked by him, but nothing else. All fear! I picked him up and he likes being held! He bucked on a leash, but like his brother, is getting used to it. He knows no commands and would do best separated from his brother and learn about the world. Seems to stalk cats........so we feel a home without cats is best! Fostered in Grass Valley.

Austin
Austin is a 13-year-old, red-tri boy who has lived with a family since he was a youngster. The children are grown and mother is moving to a place where she cannot take Austin. He's sweet, gentle, slept on a pillow in his Mom's room, lived with a cat, adores children, is quiet and loving. He's getting a bit weak in the back end.

Austin loves to cuddle, is good on a leash, and weighs 54 pounds. What a doll! He needs a home by end October. I'm hoping someone wants to love this boy so he doesn't have to come to our over-crowded Sanctuary! Austin is in Moraga.

Mya

Mya is a stunning red merle girl who turned 6 years old in April, 2013. Mya has some resource guarding issues with other dogs. She will put herself between her Mom and other dogs and lunges at them if they get too near. She doesn’t do it with people, just dogs.

She likes to hang by herself, or follow her Aussie sister around, but doesn’t like the typical Aussie play. We’d like to find her a home where she can live peacefully with her people! She’s well-trained and knows sit, down, stay, heel, over, shake (each paw and sits w/both paws), come; she understands and executes inside/outside, off, upstairs/downstairs, want to eat/hungry/food, on your bed, in your crate, let's go (ride in the car), go for a walk.

She's happy, plays with toys, sleeps, chews on her nylabones, and has no issues being left alone in the house or the car. Basically, an all around great dog! Mya is in Sunnyvale.

Duchess

Duchess is an 11.5 year old, healthy, and spry Aussie mix whose owner is unable to care for her any longer. She has been okay around children, follows her person around the house, and loves playing fetch with a ball. She has received excellent care.

She has not lived with cats, so don't know how she'd do with them. Duchess is a lovely girl looking for a loving human companion. Duchess is in Sacramento.
