The list of adopted aussies is growing fast! Wonderful for the dogs but hard to show all on one page. We have split up the past adoptions by month. Use the links to see all our wonderful adoptions and adoptions we have assisted.

Kip NCAR #814
Ryan and Siri liked Kip's mellow, yet playful personality. They'll give him daily hikes and take him to obedience classes.

Kip is an 8-year-old, neutered blue merle whose owners surrendered him because they were moving. He spent most of his time outside and slept in the garage, yet he's house broken and mellow inside his foster home. He is more independent than the others, yet comes to me for pets and gives kisses.
He was good off leash on our hike in the Sierra, and always came back when called. He liked swimming, too! He doesn't always come when called - but that is improving too. He's got a sense of humor and will steal my gloves or hat and run off with them....like a puppy.
He's lived with a cat, but will chase outdoor cats. He likes long leash walks and likes all people. This is a mellow dude. Fostered in Grass Valley. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

***ADOPTED 9/19***
Hank
Hank is a gorgeous, 2.5-year-old, neutered red merle. He's 45 pounds and had his eyes checked and hips and hocks x-rayed – he's 100% healthy.

Hank has had ongoing obedience and agility training and has earned a novice gamble title in ASCA. He also is good with clicker training and has great recall. He's crate trained and good with other dogs and plays rough. He loves people and grew up with small children. He can jump a 4-ft fence to get close to his owner, so 5-foot minimum is required for Hank.

He loves swimming, fetching, walk, training obedience, fleece toys and going novice agility. He'd make a good dog for a junior handler, too.

Hank was rescued by an agility trainer who competes with her dogs. Hank does not have enough drive for competition and his owner wants him to get a great home where he'll get lots of human time, continued "fun" training and all the attention he deserves!

Hank is in Woodlake, near Visalia. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

***ADOPTED 9/13***
Bear
Bear is a handsome 6-year-old, 65-pound black tricolor Australian Shepherd who lost his home when his guardian could no longer care for him. Bear has excellent house manners and knows how to sit, stay, lie down, beg, play dead and roll over. He's a calm, intelligent dog who enjoys going for walks and swimming at the beach. He loves chewing on bones and keeping a soft toy near him when he's resting on his bed. Although he gets along with other dogs, he'd do best as a single dog in the home.

***ADOPTED***
Zeus NCAR PUP #43
Zeus is a 10-month-old Miniature American Shepherd. He's not used to being around so many dogs and is a bit defensive, but he's gotten better since staying at the Sanctuary. He's only 20 pounds and was raised by a young couple who couldn't afford his care. He likes people, but has been a bit spoiled and needs some training. Fostered in Grass Valley.
