Nano
Nano lives with Judy and Peter in Petrolia where he gets to play on the beach and be with his people 24/7.
Nano will be 2 years old on September 11. Hes a 48 pound black tri who is well trained and very friendly. He knows Sit, Stop, No, Lie down, Shake hand, Come, Stay Drop and Walk. He chases cats, but it is unknown as to whether he can live with one peacefully!
His owner took on a new job that is quite demanding and Nano isnt getting enough attention.

Zoe
Zoe went home to Davis with Lynne and John and their black tri boy, Bernard (adopted from NCAR 2013) Its a real love fest!

Zoe just turned 5 years old in August. Shes a pretty black tri who is sweet, active, and Velcro. She was very attached to the man in her home and went everywhere with him. He passed away suddenly and his widow feels Zoe would do best in a home with active people who will give her the lifestyle that shes used to. She really loves being around men!

Buddy NCAR #1034
We were asked to rescue Buddy from the Santa Barbara shelter because he had a heart murmer. We paid for his exam by a cardiologist, got him neutered and his teeth cleaned. This is a really nice boy.
Buddy lives with Victor and Gloria in Roseville. Six months ago, they lost Rusty, their 14 year old Aussie whom they adopted from us in 2003. Everyone is happy again.

Zuzu NCAR #1021
Zuzu had a litter of puppies when she was only 11 months old. Her owner said she was unpredictable around her family and asked us to take her after the puppies were sold. She was 14 months old when she arrived here. It took 5 days for me to catch her even though she was dragging a 6 foot leash! Volunteers came up to sit and talk to her and I walked her on leash around the Sanctuary. By the second week, she would follow me, and started playing with other Aussies. Now she's off leash! She still hides from strangers, but I see hope! Hoping to find her a home with a gentle, patient person who will continue to build her confidence. Zuzu would do well with a playful, well trained male Aussie. Fostered in Sacramento.

Jameson NCAR#
Jameson, or Jamie is 18 months old and purchased as a puppy from a local breeder who wouldn't take him back.
He jumps over 42 inch gates, is playful with playful dogs, is good inside the house and has responded to treatment for seasonal allergies.
He gets bratty if dogs come near his food or toys, so I think he's best being an only dog, or in a home with a playful Aussie where his behaviors can be managed.

Cooper NCAR#1032
Cooper is an 8 year old black tri who we adopted to a couple 4 years ago. He
was their constant companion. His owners died and we took him back. He wants
and needs to be near his people.
He's housebroken, easy on a leash, a bit tubby right now and is easy to have around. He does not like cats and would love being an only dog, but can live with other dogs as long as they don't expect him to play with him! He's very human-oriented.

Doodle NCAR#
Doodle is a 9 year old Miniature Poodle/Miniature Aussie mix. She is only 14.5 pounds and loves to be in someone's lap. She jumps into the van and is ready for a road trip! She isn't playful with other dogs, but can live with them. She'd prefer to be an only dog so she can soak up all the attention herself. Fostered in Grass Valley.
