Cinnamon NCAR #355

John, Susan and Cinnamon
Cinnamon lives with Susan and John in Livermore. She will be with Susan 24/7 and begin obedience classes soon, then possibly agility. We are thrilled that Susan and John found our Cinnie girl because they will help her learn not to be afraid and enjoy life!

Cinnamon is an 18 month old red merle whose owners surrendered her to the Sacramento County shelter. She's very stand - offish around new people....just like a puppy mill Aussie. I did a little research and called her previous owner. Sure enough, he purchased her at 8 months of age from Art Warren, the man who ran the puppy mill in El Dorado County. He was nice enough to mail me all her paperwork, so we discovered that Tess (foster Aussie below) is her mother and Jake (adopted November) is her father. Her brother is Chipper, who was adopted last summer.

She didn't go anywhere in her previous home, but she did play with teenagers in the yard, but slept in the garage at night. She's comfortable outside and inside now, and settles into her crate nicely. She's not shown us that she's real playful with other dogs, but she does fetch and LOVES water. She ignores cats and is being exposed to city life slowly in her foster home in Sacramento. Contact: Kim at

Libby ID: A005044

Check out this COOL looking dog! She's an Australian Shepherd adult, medium size, and is very likely pure. Lovely blue merle coloring. She has boundless energy and needs a home where she can run and work. Libby is fine with older kids and this beautiful girl will add many years of fun to a home with a fenced in yard and an active family.

We now have a new Adoption Application that has to be approved before any of our pets leave. Or you can email Shar at for more info.

My name is Sebastian, but everybody calls me Sabby.  I am a very young 8 year old.  My loving owner is very ill, and can no longer care for me.  My whole world has just turned upside down, and I have to find a new home.  Being the great Aussie that I am, I hope I will be with my new family very soon.  I have mostly been an inside dog, but am enjoying the outdoors too.  I do best as an only dog, and have shared my life with a cat.  I love getting in the car for rides, and going for walks is great too!  I am a very friendly guy who really enjoys being with people.  I guess you might say I am the epitome of what they call a "people dog".  As you can see by my pictures, I am quite handsome, and love lots of petting and attention.  I really miss the life I once had, and need to belong to a special someone again, with whom I can share my love.  I am a calm, mellow guy who will sit on the porch with you, or lay by your feet near the fireplace.  I will be patiently waiting for you to come and meet me.  You will not be disappointed!

She's very playful, will fetch, and is adjusting to her new living situation. She's just darling and needs to be enrolled in an obedience class. Fostered in Grass Valley. Contact Kim at

Aussie/Border Collie lovers, here is a "10 Star" dog for you to adopt!! Shiloh, meaning "God's gift", is a beautiful, amazing boy. How a dog like this is an unclaimed stray is totally beyond our comprehension! He warmed up to us quickly, and was happy to be with people and other dogs. Shiloh is about 4 years old, and weighs around 50 lbs. He is "people wise", and wants to please. He even shook hands a few times with us. He has the beauty and brains of two awesome breeds. Won't you please consider giving this wonderful dog the second chance he so truly deserves? He is not the type of dog who can do well in a confined environment like the shelter. He is a keeper! Shiloh will need to be neutered before he can become your loyal companion.

Tucker is a very nice, energetic, 4 year old Blue Merle Aussie. Hes 65 lbs, loves to play Frisbee, loves kids and lets the one year old crawl all over him. He lives with a cat, but as soon as the cat runs, he chases it ~ yet they sleep next to each other! He knows sit, stay, wait, come, kennel, load up, high five, high ten, shake/other paw shake and down. He goes almost everywhere with his family and is friendly towards people. Hes not destructive, walks well on a leash with a Gentle Leader. Tucker is in Modesto. Contact: Kim at

Ben is an approximately 3 yr old Border Collie, Australian Shepherd mix. He was very frightened and shy when he first came to the shelter, but with TLC and lots of love, he is now outgoing and playful.

Ben is a beautiful boy with a striking face. His coat is silver sable and white and he has a big fluffy tail. The ideal home for this great dog would be with someone who enjoys an outdoors lifestyle; hiking, running or a jogging buddy.

Star is a 1 1/2 year old spayed female black tri. Her owner is moving and with heavy heart, must find her a new home. She's not been through formal training, but knows some tricks and is a happy girl. Star is in Lincoln, near Sacramento. Contact: Kim at

Beautiful Senior Girl
This senior aussie mix was found wandering aimlessly in Oak Run. She was severely matted, dehydrated, hungry, thin, and one of the most grateful dogs in the world for help when a kind person offered her a place to go to for a few days.

Ads have been run in the paper... no people are looking for this dog. We have her at our Vet right now boarding her in hopes that someone with a BIG heart will open their home and allow her to come there and stay, whether it be a foster or adoption situation.

Our Vet says she is a spayed female, tested negative for heartworms and is a sweet old dog. As with any older or senior dog, one can expect some medical issues - here is what we know abotu her: She has some incontinence, but we now have her started on hormones and are hoping that it will make a difference and make her feel better. She is scheduled for grooming soon to get rid of the matts that are causing her such discomfort. We also started her on rimadyl to treat her arthritic old bones and make her days painfree. All in all, she's a nice girl that deserves a home and a loving place to be for the remainder of her life.

To look into her eyes is to see how much she longs for the cold hearted person that abandoned her.... please help her get a home and call us as soon as possible!

Raider is a darling 45 pound black tri. He's fun, smart, likes other dogs and energetic. This boy LOVES the ball and will fetch till your arm aches. He loves all people...great with men and boys. He can be a bit testy with some breeds of dogs, but corrects easily with "knock it off." He's totally fine with other Aussies of both genders.

He cannot live with livestock: horses or cows....will chase them. But he's made friends with the cat in his foster home. This is a nice, nice boy with lots of energy and smarts. Fostered in Brentwood. Contact: Kim at

Black Tri Boy NCAR #
This boy is about 2 or 3 years old. He loves to play fetch and is high energy. He also likes to chase bikes, skateboards, anything that moves - hence strong prey drive! He's a fun boy and we'll post more about him as we get to know him better. No cats. Fostered in Magalia, near Chico. Contact: Kim at

Indiana is maybe two years old. She's a pretty Aussie mix girl who was on her way to the shelter when a nice man intervened. He has too many dogs and asked us to find Indiana a good home. We are looking for a foster or permanent home for her.

She currently lives with 2 small dogs and a lab. She loves to play fetch, is housebroken, sleeps on the couch, likes car rides, and likes being groomed and petted. She will chase after small children that run, so a family with older children is best. She would do well with a nice, large male dog like a lab or shepherd. Indiana is in Stockton. Contact: Kim at
