Cabo
Cabo in his new home with Chris and Amanda. He'll go on daily walks and hikes and is the apple of his parents' eyes!
Cabo is a smart, friendly mini Aussie who weighs about
35 lbs. He's two years old and is considered a "black
bi" meaning he has no copper in his coat. He's smart,
ready for agility or advanced obedience. He loves to
go for walks and hikes and is incredibly affectionate
and sweet.
His owner has learned that Cabo can't share his home
with other dogs. He can share with people and children
and even cats, but when a dog comes near his bed or
crate, he is aggressive. He's fine on walks and in parks
where he encounters dogs, and played fetch nicely with
my fetchaholic Aussie. He will do great with someone
who has no other dogs and wants a smaller, smart and
loyal Aussie. He can go to work with his person too...as
long as other dogs don't share his space! This is a
nice boy, very cuddly with with just one small "issue".
Cabo can live with birds, cats and children of all ages.
Cabo is in Pacifica. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

Maggie is a 4 year old purebred Border Collie. Her owner has "toddler triplets" and just can't give Maggie the attention she deserves, so asked us to help her find a fabulous home. Shiloh NCAR #175
 Shiloh and Tess |
Shiloh lives with Tess and Eleanor in Magalia. Eleanor has owned Aussies
since she was 22 yrs old and adopted Tess from us last
November. She lost her beloved 15 year old Aussie, BJ
in January. Shiloh and Tess are helping Eleanor cope with
her loss, and Eleanor gives them both lots of love right
back.
Shiloh is a wonderful companion. He loves to follow his
foster mom around the yard while she's gardening and stays
right by her side - the perfect VELCRO AUSSIE! He loves
to go for walks and is good on the leash. He's 6 years
old, knows sit and down very well and is always very happy
to see his foster mom and dad when they come home. His
favorite thing is to have his belly scratched and kicking
back watching TV! His energy level is average for an aussie
and he does not require tons of exercise.
He would do best
in a home without cats. He loves people and children,
but gets excited when kids are running and playing,
so we think children over 12 might be best!
Shiloh is all wiggles and smiles and adores people.
He loves his foster dad and gets long beautifully with
his two Aussie brothers. He's a really nice, small,
47- pound boy who loves snuggling and would love to
be someone's only companion, but can certainly live
with another dog....especially and Aussie! He has proven
himself a delightful boy and so deserving of a home
of his own! Fostered in Santa Rosa.

Bowie, NCAR # 253
 Norm, Nancy & Bowie |
Bowie lives with Norm and Nancy in Placerville. He'll get to go on vacations
with them in their RV, too!
Bowie is a purebred, fawn colored Cocker Spaniel. He
was running down a busy street and when I pulled over
and called him, he came right to me. I knocked on some
doors but no one knew where he lived. No one answered
my ad or responded to fliers.
He was infested with fleas...and his body was covered
in mats. I had him shaved, except for the top of his
head and my groomer and I thought he looked like David
Bowie, hence his name!
This boy is a nice, easy-going boy who loves to be with
me. We believe he's 2 years old. He has a cataract in
one eye and the opthalmologist thinks he may have limited
vision in that eye. He doesn't miss anything, and can
see people and dogs 1/2 mile away! He is great off leash
and follows me everywhere, just like an Aussie! He sleeps
snuggled next to me and is very cuddly! He's fine with
all dogs, young and old, big and small. Contact: Kim

Bubba
Bubba is an incredibly large 8 month old black tri who is active, confident and fun...and did I mention large? He should mature to 70+ pounds. His mom bought Bubba and his brother as puppies. Now she's expecting a baby and has doctor's orders to stay calm and not do too much. Both of these boys are too much for her, so we're finding Bubba a new home.
Bubba did very well off leash, likes to play with other dogs, pulls like a moose on a leash and likes to play with, but not hurt cats. He's good with children, but he'd knock over toddlers. Bubba's perfect home would be with an active, experienced owner who will enroll immediately into a good obedience class and give him daily running exercise and structure. This boy will grow up to be a fabulous Aussie. Bubba is in Sacramento. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

Sugar
Sugar was born with very little to no vision. She is
an 18 month old black tri Aussie and weighs 43 lbs.
She's spayed and up to date on her shots. She needs
a home with another young dog who is playful and very
dog social who will be her guide dog and buddy. She
needs a good sized yard so she can exercise but without
landscaping that might present a danger to her and no
built-in pools ~ though she loves splashing around in
her wading pool!
She is the sweetest thing to come around, hence her
name. Loves to play with the other young Aussie in the
house and loves to snuggle on the couch. She was rescued
from the Auburn shelter and needs a home of her very
own. Because of her limited vision, we think a home
without small children is best. Sugar is located one
hour south of Redding. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

Brandon
Brandon is doing great in his new forever home. He's started classes and already does a very good "sit."
Brandon (39564) is a 2 year old intact male Australian Shepherd. He's a big, handsome boy with lots of energy! Brandon likes to explore his surroundings but also loves being out spending time with his humans. Since he's not always aware of his own strength, he'd like to find a home with someone who'll teach him to be polite on leash and some other basic commands so he can be an awesome addition to his new family flock!
If you are interested in adopting this wonderful canine or if you have any questions please feel free to contact us at ycasrescue@hotmail.com or call (530) 662-8858. In order to adopt you will need to visit the shelter. All dogs need to be spayed or neutered at the time of adoption, if not already done.
