Lexi NCAR #305

Lexi lives in Campbell with Bev and her family. Lots of people to love her!

Lexi is maybe 10-11 months old. She's goofy, loving, and a super sweet little girl who has found a place in her foster parents' hearts. She has no manners but learning quickly She's in LOVE with her foster dad and is equally in love with her foster mom when he's not around. She's getting a little better on a leash. She still gets a little submissive and shy when it's time to put on the leash but she tries to get over her fear because she knows that good things happen when the leash goes on! She can be a little Bossy with her aussie siblings, but when they've had enough of her antics, they let her know and she backs off. She is still very mouthy and nips when excited. All in all a sweet girl who has typical Aussie puppy behaviors and needs guidance and training. Fostered in Campbell. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

***ADOPTED***
Huck, NCAR #281

Huck lives with Lisa and Neil in Folsom....although he goes everywhere with Lisa, including her office. Lisa owns Animal Den Pet Resort in Sacramento and Huck is the perfect people and dog greeter!

Huck is a 12 to 15 month old blue merle who was surrendered by his owners of two months because they moved to a place that didn't allow dogs. His life with them was spent alone, outside and he found ways to get out of their yard. So we know he's had at least two homes already, we'll make sure his next is his best and his last!

He's a sweet boy who is learning about toys and playing. He has learned agility and has proven that he likes learning new things. He is soaking up his foster mom's attention. No cats! Fostered in Modesto.

Meet Rocky!
He's an 8 or 9 year old Chihuaha who was found at a busy intersection in South Sacramento. No one came for him at the Sacramento County Shelter and he's so darn nice we just had to save him! He has an old injury and makes his left side weak. We've had him X Rayed, had his teeth cleaned and had all his bloodwork done...he's AOK!

He plays and runs just fine, but is more of a lover than player! This is one really nice boy who is ok with cats and other dogs, but really wants to hang in someone's lap! Fostered in Sacramento. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com

BOGIE - NCAR #302

Bogey lives with Gary and Susan in Vacaville. Bogey is their first Aussie and they loved him from the first moment they met him. Bogey jumped into their SUV and never looked back!

Bogie is 2 year old gorgeous black tri we pulled out of Monterey. He's your typical sweet adolescent Aussie who is still learning manners. While in foster care, he’s learned how to sit for food and treats, sit before walking out the door, “leave it” and “off”. He’s very smart and picks things up quickly. He lives with and likes a dog-savvy cat, other Aussies and is fine around all people.

He has 1 annoying behavior that we're working on! When he's first starting out and excited, he'll nip at the heels of runners, including the person he's running beside! He corrects easily and will settle into a nice pace. He loves everyone, is VERY food motivated, crates easily and is an all around nice boy. He's a vocal boy when someone comes to the front door and at the dog park, but he does calm down quickly. Fostered in Sacramento.

***ADOPTED 7/15***
DILLON, #276

Dillon is 1-2 years old, very loving and a bit reserved around new people. He likes to stay in the back ground, but likes his pets and takes treats fine. He's building his confidence and would do well living with another nice dog.

He's friendly, and has learned sit and down and walks well on a leash. Dillon also has his fluffy tail. He's an easy going boy who appears to have lived inside. He loves lying on "his" dog bed and gives a big wag when we approach and pet him.

Update from foster dad 5/15: Thinking back on how he has adjusted to us, and to Griffin and Oakland...he is a resilient little guy. He is learning basic obedience well and knows more than he lets on! He bows for us and Griffin regularly, and his sit is immediate and superb. His "stay" is a bit iffy yet, but he will not move for up to a minute. I haven't worked on his "roll over" yet, but he runs out with Griffin every morning to get the paper. I may train him to go to town and buy a NY Times and bring back the change... "

Fostered in Oakland. Contact: Kim at kim@norcalaussierescue.com
