Princess NCAR#391
 Princess
Princess is a small, very shy and sweet, black tri Aussie with her tail. She was surrendered to the Sacramento SPCA because her owner had "too many dogs" She's only 18 months old and too timid to go to the general public so they asked us to take her. She's come out of her shell and likes to play with the other dogs, is affectionate towards me and likes her crate. She needs a quiet, patient home. Fostered in Grass Valley.

Bonnie NCAR #388
 Bonne, Clyde and Family
Bonnie is a 3 year old, 40 lb. Border Collie who lived her whole life with
her brother, Clyde in an outside kennel. She adores children, and played
with visiting grandchildren of all ages. She was so excited when she was let
out of the kennel that she'd run across the street and harass the chickens
and actually killed one. She does, however ignore cats. This little girl
should have been given more to do and allowed in the house. Her owners
surrendered her to the Lakeport Animal Shelter. This is a sweet, submissive,
perfect little BC girl! Fostered in Grass Valley.

Clyde NCAR #390
Clyde is a 3 year old, 30 lb. Border Collie who lived his whole life with
his sister, Bonnie in an outside kennel. He adores children and played with
visiting grandchildren of all ages. Clyde is somewhat shy and very
affectionate. When he was let out of his kennel, he chased a cat and had it
in it's mouth, so we think cats are out for Clyde! This boy should have been
trained, given more to do and allowed in the house, but instead, he was
surrendered to the Lakeport Animal Shelter with his sister. Fostered in
Grass Valley.

Shadow
Shadow is a 6 year old black bi. She's smart, Velcro, on the small side and
has lived with dogs, horses and birds and has been around children ages 10
and older. She and the senior female dog in the household are not getting
along...seems as the senior gets more and more frail, they get into scraps
more often. It breaks the owner's heart to give Shadow up because as she
says, "Shadow is the perfect dog, but I had my other female first". Shadow
is fine in the car, alone in the house or yard and walks fine on a leash.
Shadow is in Sacramento.

Ice
Ice was 1 year old in January. He's a big boy who is
Velcro, average energy level and wants to be with his
owner. His owners are too busy right now to spend time
with him and continue his training, so with heavy heart,
they want to find him a great home.
Ice is very stand offish
with strangers, to the point of being cold. He wasn't
properly socialized as a pup and he needs someone who
will work with him so he's not so fearful. He can lunge
at strange dogs, but is fine with cats. This boy needs a quiet home with a patient person who can spend lots of time with him.
Owners are Keeping Ice! WAHOO!

GORDO, ID# 0704s043
Gordo is a 1 year old, neutered male, australian shepherd mix
Gordo is a very friendly dog that loves belly rubs. He is
loving, and has such a great personality. Gordo was surrendered by his
previous owner because they could no longer have him. He has been an
indoor/outdoor dog that is housebroken. He spent half of his time in the
house, and half in a fenced yard. Gordo has had some training; he knows
"sit", and knows he is not supposed to jump up, but he does sometimes when
he is excited. He still pulls on the leash, but is improving with a choke
chain. Gordo listens very well when you have treats, so I think he could
learn a lot more with treat training. Gordo has grown up around another
dog and does well with other dogs. He loves to play with dogs according to
his previous owner. I think he could do well in a home with another dog,
but it is very important that they meet before he is adopted. Gordos
previous owner says that when he sees cats he "will follow, but not
attack." He seems very curious about cats, but I don't know if he would do
well in a home with cats. Gordo's previous owner says that he does well
around kids. He has a great temperament and is very sweet. He is
incredibly affectionate, and doesnt mind if you tug on him or take his
food. I think he would be fine in a home with kids, but because he is
young and playful he might knock over a small child. Gordo is at the Butte Humane Society, 2579 Fair Street, Chico, CA 95928. Contact: Kimberly Thompson email: foster_rescue@buttehumane.org phone: 530-343-7917 ext107
